Give a little to help a lot!

In honor of National AIDS Awareness month, we've added a new charitable vgift. For each red ribbon you purchase for $2.99, we'll donate 100 percent of gross proceeds to IAVI.org (the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative) to support the development and global distribution of an affordable HIV vaccine (we'll cover credit card fees). You can read more about IAVI at [info]lj_cares. While we're on the subject, we raised $740 from our November fundraiser for Love Without Boundaries, which supports emergency healthcare and adoption of Chinese orphans. We thank you for helping us help others.

Photos of the week

We're back with more incredible pictures from our super-talented LiveJournal photographers. Congratulations to [info]ilya_gorokhov, who is the winner of our very first [info]lj_photophile poll.

We hope you'll continue to post, vote, and comment! A gentle request: Please post only one photo at a time and limit size to 350x350 (so images display properly on friends pages). And now, without further ado, get ready to cast your ballot and view more awesome user content after the jump!

1. Woke up with OGL camp and collection of race entry pack in mind
2. While collecting my entry pack and the journey back home, I passed by MJ
3. I'm grumpy
4. I got confused with expo and esplanade (I think I was just blur this morning), so I panicked, before I realised I was going to the correct place which was expo
5. I don't like it when people use 'right'. Or when you organise something and they reply like 'Sorry, not free.' Like, what's with the hostility -.-
6. I deciding that blogging in this format, is like preparing for a summary -.-

Anyway, today, I spend time with myself, me time, I like it :D I know it's weird, but it doesn't bother me when I go places alone and do things alone, cause I kindda enjoy it! REALLY! :D On a sidenote, My phone is quite lousy -.- It's always running out of battery. I don't turn on the bluetooth or WiFi, but then, I still have to charge everyday -.- And I don't message THAT much, not like I'm on my phone every minute.

And my internet sucks. Whenever my mum is watching some drama online on some China website, my internet becomes slow, but if my brother is playing, I'm not really affected. So in conclusion? China websites suck, they slow my internet -.- I know I'm such a confusing person, cause I'm both grumpy and happy at the same time.

Today I was watching Oprah, I felt inspired. HAHA! The episode was about Billie Jean King and Dara Torres. Go check out their bibliography, they are so so so inspiring! Dara Torres still looks quite good at the age of forty plus, it's amazing. After the show ended, I felt super inspired and wanted to do something about my life. I thought about the holiday homework I have and A levels, all the inspiration's gone. Ha ha.

Little things make my day, hahas. When I was at Tanah Merah today, I was waiting for the train which was heading towards expo, then I was all three trains from all three platforms coming at the same time. I FELT SO AMAZED AND HAPPY. Cause it the first time such a phenomenon is happening to me. Yes, I shall call it a phenomenon!

Some pictures :D

**EDIT Thu Dec 3 23:24:15 UTC 2009 **

Hey Everyone, we are about to run the last alter job that we need to on our database servers. This will effect userpics / scrapbook / vgift images for the next few hours. Have no fear, your images aren't lost, there is just a really intensive process running on the servers which store the information for mogilefs. Thank you for your understanding and all the LJ love...

Hey LJers,

I just wanted to let you all know that we are going to be performing some mogilefs maintenance over the next few days. We will be upgrading our current version to latest stable as well as changing some db config information to better handle the amount of files we are currently hosting. This shouldn't cause a big impact on site stability, but you may see some minor delays with userpic / scrapbook images appearing or other requests associated with our mogilefs. We would love to not have that happen, but unfortunately with some of the steps we need to take we have to cause a delay with images. I figured this was a better solution than taking down all of LiveJournal because well lets face it, we all need our daily LJ fix ;)

Thanks,

22 November 2009 @ 02:55 am
I'm am such an unmotivated person. I feel like my life is quite purposeless currently. Today, I slept till 1pm, then at 4pm, I went to sleep again, at 1am, I'm feeling sleepy again. And all I did was to watch IRIS and eat Haagen Dazs. Since PW ended, I feel like I have absolutely nothing to do although there are tutorials to be done. Omg, I need to be motivated!

Anyway, some pictures from PW :D

Wei Long's reputation is ruined, HAHA! The whole world knows about this picture, his wig and how unbecomming he is.

He was supposed to act as a girl.

HAHA!

Andy/Yang gong gong/Grandmaster Yang the Handsome/Aunty Killer and his classic old uncle pose. We're playing the Grandpa Yang's neighbour's game.

Mr UBC! HAHA! Just realised we have a lot of nicknames for people in class.

Mr UBC = Mr Unbecomming or should I say Miss Unbecomming! HAHA!

Cally's cosplay wig. I heard Bayu aka International Wallet went to help you take pictures for cosplay today! HAHA!

Wei Long the TRUE slacker!

Anyways, my family is overseas. My brother in Malaysia for some badminton competition, my mum and sister holidaying, my dad working, OMG, I'm ALONE IN SINGAPORE. After being alone at home for 1.5 months in sec3, I'm starting to really hate it. I get scared at night, seriously! Laugh lah laugh lah, but my house is really scary at night! I kindda miss my brother, haven't seen him for damn long.

I keep forgetting what I want to blog, it pisses me off! ARGH. HAHA! Melvin just reminded me what I wanted to blog about when he said ''I didn't know MJC got turnstile you know.''

www.facebook.com/pages/Singapore-Singapore/The-New-MJC-Sidegate-Turnstile-is-Retarded-TTM/182357017434
It is really retarded ttm! REALLY! Every person must press a button before going out and on Thursday, I took 5 mins to get out of the gate cause of the long queue! Really, it's the most retarded thing MJ did. It's not a rational thing to do, what if there's a fire!

And Wei Long is such a pig! I scared already, he try to scare me more and my pipe always makes weird noises at night, omg. I admit I very humji k, I got no guts to walk into OCH like you, tsk! Now, I retire to my bed to blog, cause if I sit at my table, my back faces my room door which faces the stairs which is really freaky. My room is the most scary room cause it faces the stairs, he come and tell me if got something climb up the stairs, my room will be the first target and I'll be the first one it sees. Sian, I cannot sleep liao lah!
